How is payment for cannabis seeds secured on PPS?
Plantation Premium Seeds uses hosted checkouts for every payment method. When you check out, your browser connects directly to the certified payment processor — your card number, CVV, and expiry pass through their PCI-DSS Level 1 servers, never ours. We see only the order ID and the payment-confirmed status. Your card data is never present in our database, our logs, or our backups, because it's never there to begin with.
This isn't a promise. It's an architectural fact: a hosted checkout removes PPS from PCI scope entirely. If we wanted to log your card data, we couldn't — we never receive it.

We never see the card number, never store it, never log it. If you opt to “save a card for future use,” the token lives at the processor — not on PPS servers.
Why hosted checkout matters more than "PCI-DSS compliant"
Many sites claim 'PCI-DSS compliant' while still touching card data on their own servers. PPS doesn't touch card data at all — which is a stronger position. A site that handles cards has to maintain compliance forever; a site with hosted checkout is out of scope. Less surface area, fewer ways to fail.
What about discretion on my bank statement?
Card purchases show up under a neutral merchant descriptor — no “cannabis” or “seeds” wording on your statement. If maximum discretion is the priority, choose Interac e-Transfer or crypto — neither generates a recognizable cannabis-related line.
Common secure payment questions
What if my payment fails?
The order is held in pending status for 24 hours. You can retry through your account or contact us. No double charges — the processor verifies before settlement, and PPS only marks the order paid once payment is confirmed.
Are crypto payments reversible?
No — that's the nature of blockchain. The crypto processor confirms receipt within 30 minutes and we ship as soon as payment lands. If you send to the wrong address, nobody can recover it — blockchain transactions are final.
Do you take PayPal?
No — PayPal prohibits cannabis-related transactions in their TOS. Same for Stripe and Square. The three methods above are what work for Canadian cannabis e-commerce in 2026, and all use hosted checkouts.
Are you in PCI scope?
No. Because PPS uses hosted checkouts for every payment method that touches cards or crypto, card data never reaches PPS infrastructure. We are outside PCI scope by design.
